Classes
Swan offers three primary styles of dance: Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. In addition to these, Swan offers classes in Lyrical, Hip Hop, Pilates, Belly, Swing, and Latin. Class sessions are offered on a trimester schedule (Fall: September-December; Spring: January-June; Summer: July-August) and schedules are finalized about one month prior to the start of a new session. Classes are offered Monday through Saturday year-round for students of all ages. Classes are structured based upon age, skill level, and area of interest. Students range from ages 2 1/2 to adults, beginners through professionals.
Occasionally, special workshops or master classes are offered featuring visiting guest artists and choreographers. Additionally, to take advantage of the summer school recess from the traditional learning cycle, and to provide students with refreshing educational activities relating to the arts, Swan offers summer dance camps and intensive workshops.
The Swan Ballet Dance Company performs year round. With its annual presentation of "The Nutcracker" in December and the annual spring recital in June, students and faculty are kept very busy. Admission into the Advanced and Intermediate Ballet companies are by the Director's invitation only and is a recognized honor.
Due to high demand and class enrollment limits, persons interested in participating in the offered classes are encouraged to contact us immediately for more information or to register for the class sessions of their choosing.
